I was lucky enough to meet celebrity make-up artist Lina Hanson last week, when she was in London visiting my favourite shop Content. Lina’s client list is like a who’s who’s in Hollywood, it includes stars such as Ewan McGregor, Orlando Bloom, Naomi Watts and Brooke Shields, to name but a few! Not only is she an amazing make-up artist but an expert in natural beauty, Lina has managed to completely green her kit – something I hope to be able to claim one day – getting there…..!
Lina has always had a passion for eco living since her childhood in Sweden. She told us that she had grown up making her own beauty lotions and potions. As her make-up career developed, she used her oils on her clients and her reputation grew for both. Lina went on to create her Global Face Serum which is now gaining a strong following. It took two years to develop – Lina said she knew exactly what she wanted the serum to do, so it was just a matter of finding the right combination of the right oils. The winning formulation is a potent blend of 17 organic and natural oils; all of which are carefully and sustainably sourced – many are Fairtrade. She wanted anyone to be able to use the serum and reap the benefits with healthy, glowing skin.
